Position Description

Dynetics Technical Solutions (DTS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynetics, is seeking a talented Quality Inspection Laser Tracker, Portable Arm Technician to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Successful candidate will be responsible for verifying that machined and assembled hardware meet specified drawing/CAD model requirements using Laser Tracker / Portable Arm, Hand Measuring Tools and Gages. The candidate could potentially have the opportunity to learn to operate a Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM). Other duties may include performing and setting up and measuring parts using standard measuring equipment. Applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced R&D environment with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess a High School diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of Quality Inspection experience.

• Experience with Laser Tracker / Portable Arm w/ Spatial Analyzer or Equivalent software.
• Must have knowledge of how to efficiently use micrometers, height gages, gage blocks, radius gages, and calipers etc.
• Experience in an AS9100 Aerospace and Defense manufacturing environment is a plus
• Candidate must have a knowledge and understanding when reading and interpreting drawings, must have a clear knowledge and understanding of GD&T.
• Candidate must be able to populate handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports.
• Candidate must have Computer Skills and have the ability to use computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.
• Experience with CMM using PcDmis software is a plus
• Experience with Solid Work Inspections software is a plus
• Applicant must be able to work a full-time, 4-days per week 10-hours per shift
• Candidate must be willing to travel to customer site to perform quality inspections if needed
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Candidates with CMM inspection experience of complex aerospace hardware are desired. Knowledge of Digital Product Definition is also desired. Prior experience with AS9100 quality systems is a plus.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
