The Strategic Programs office is seeking a talented Navigation Guidance and Control (NGC) engineer for its Hypersonics line of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. The selected candidate will support the Common Hypersonic Glide Body program (C-HGB) and other Hypersonic products in the portfolio. The C-HGB is the Army’s #1 priority for strategic weapons capability for long-range precision fires and will counter and gain a lead on our adversaries' technological advances in this field, come join us in this exciting, cutting-edge field.
The selected candidate will serve as a NGC engineer that will handle all aspects of autopilot and navigation components for Hypersonic Glide Bodies. The candidate will support production and test of flight hardware along with developing the equipment and tools to support the production process. The candidate will support/oversee development of test equipment and test processes as well as review of test results. This includes working with other IPT areas to collect and review data and assisting with Technical Data Package documentation of HGB flight computer components. In addition, the candidate will need to support equipment installation and testing during AI&T process, including troubleshooting and potential onsite repairs/rework. The candidate will assist in preparation of RFP for component manufacturing, including parts management, quality, and documentation, and establishing test requirements along with providing supplier surveillance during manufacturing and testing to include Non-Compliance Reports and quality issues. Work will be conducted in an integration/production facility along with a laboratory environment.
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field from an ABET accredited school is required. Candidate should have at least 5+ years of relevant experience.
The following skills/abilities are desired:
· Experience with Ethernet, communications, Pulse Code Modulation and CAN bus
· Experience with Navigation Guidance and Control electronics
· Organizational skills to document designs, assist with Technical Data Packages (TDP) and support production and test of HGB NGC components
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
The ideal candidate would have experience in electronics/avionics/environmental testing.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
