Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Aerospace Systems Engineer to join our Dayton, Ohio office. The candidate will join a diverse team primarily focused on the modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of aerospace weapons, sensors, and related command-and-control entities.

The employee in this role will perform all-source intelligence analysis of foreign threat systems, with the potential for work on fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), air-to-air missiles, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and space systems. The position also offers the possibility for work with radar & sensor systems and command-and-control systems.

Regardless of the specific threat system, the employee will discover and exploit all available sources of technical information to develop detailed system and subsystem performance assessments. This will require a fundamental understanding of vehicle dynamics and controls, flight mechanics, aerodynamics and propulsion.

Basic Qualifications

• Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. More experience is preferred. A degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field is preferred.
• Candidate must have experience or expertise relating to UAV/UAS systems or subsystems.
• Experience performing analysis for the Scientific and Technical Intelligence community (NASIC, NSIC, MSIC, ONI, NGIC) or other intelligence agencies is preferred.
• Proficiency in computer programming (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C++) is preferred.
• Candidate must have strong written communication skills, possess good people skills, demonstrate strong attention to detail and have the desire to work on a highly focused technical team of engineers, analysts, and scientists.

Candidate must be a resident of the Dayton, OH area or be willing to relocate to the Dayton, OH area.

Security Requirements

U.S. Citizenship and a current Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance with SCI eligibility is required. Must possess active SCI clearance with current investigation (within last 4.5 years) and be able to maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
