Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer Staff to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

In this role you will work in a group of fast-paced design engineers to support design, development, and deployment of advanced sensor systems. This position will require development of Technical Data Packages using CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo), PDM/PLM systems (Agile/Windchill) and supporting software (Visio/AutoCAD) for the production and documentation of complex systems and components.

The design activities are full spectrum and include integration of electronic assemblies, simulation and analysis of structural and thermal problems, and documentation of supporting cable harnesses for electrical systems.

Basic Qualifications

Do you possess a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a STEM discipline from an ABET accredited school with 5 to 10 years of applicable experience, or an associate degree with 20 years’ experience.? If so, APPLY!

The ideal candidate will bring familiarity with CAD software and understanding of design best practices and concepts, with strong rapid prototyping skills that include design for 3D printing, CNC machining and a self-starting hands-on approach to problem solving.

Other Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a history of providing creative, multi-disciplinary solutions to complex problems.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
