Position Description

Dynetics, a Leidos company, is seeking a Radar Antenna Analysis Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the Unites States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides alert, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions.

The Engineer will be expected to direct the antenna subgroup associated with all-source specialists of foreign radar systems. The Engineer will be accountable for evaluating collected intelligence data and developing assessments of antenna performance. The Engineer will assess antenna performance parameters such as beamwidth, gain, polarization, losses, grating lobes, bandwidth, element spacing, beam reforming time, weighting on transmit and receive. The Engineer will coordinate with other teams to develop overall system performance capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school or a related technical field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years overall relevant work history with phased array antennas (both active and passive), to include past work with T/R modules, digital beamforming, thermal analysis, and performance prediction / modeling.
  • In addition, the Engineer should have:
    • Past work with government customers and/or large prime contractors.
    • Strong communication skills, capable of briefing high-level customers and writing technical reports.

Candidate must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area. 

Other Qualifications

Preferred knowledge / skillsets:

  • History performing foreign weapon system study
  • Past work developing signal processing models using engineering tools such as MATLAB or Python.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
