Position Description

Dynetics, a Leidos company, is seeking a highly proficient Scrum Master to join our diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Dynetics is seeking qualified candidates to join the Modeling and Simulations Contract Framework and Tools (MASC-F) program. The MASC-F program will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in performing Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and its intended uses.

The successful candidate will utilize a variety of engineering skills to quickly address issues during integration and checkout events across multiple software products. Opportunities exist to work a variety of issues from software defects, misconfigurations, and network/hardware anomalies while coordinating with stakeholders and MDA customer.

In this role you will facilitate all team level events (PIP Team Breakouts, Sprint Planning, DSU, Feature Elaboration, Sprint Review & Retro)

You will provide timely and accurate reporting of impediments, blockers, and risks to their Release Train Engineer, you will work with Release Train Engineer to set performance and growth targets for their teams.

The selected candidate will guide, mentor and develop agile team members as well as participate in Scrum of Scrums, Retro of Retros, and any ad hoc sessions called by RTE or Agile Coach.

Responsibilities include but not limited to coordinating cross-team collaboration and dependencies, ensuring teamwork, progress, and artifacts are transparent to all designated stakeholders CUSTOMERS / GROWTH / FINANCIALS:

In addition to maintaining metrics, analysis, and reporting on team health, performance, and flow, improve or maintain flow of work for their teams:

Flow Distribution (Cumulative Flow):

The proportion of each backlog item type over time

Flow Velocity: Number of items completed in a given time

Flow Time (Cycle Time): Time elapsed from when an item enters the workflow to when it is ready for release.

Flow Load: Total work-in-progress

Flow Efficiency: The portion of time backlog items are actively worked vs total time elapsed

Flow Predictability: Planned vs actual business value of delivered solutions

Responsible for maintaining an environment for high-performing team dynamics and relentless improvement

This position is Hybrid

 

Basic Qualifications

Must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or the equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience.

If you possess a related master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience. APPLY!

PhD or JD. 4 years professional experience required, considered career, or journey level.

 

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) an Interim or Full Secret clearance to start.
