Position Description

Dynetics is currently seeking to add a talented Weapon Systems Simulation Engineer to our diverse team of professionals who primarily focus is on the modeling, simulation, and analysis of foreign weapon systems.

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is growing our team. We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, tactical logistics, and commercial fields, Dynetics, provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT Solutions.

In this role you will perform all-source intelligence analysis of foreign threat systems, with the potential for work on fixed wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), defensive surface-to-air missile systems (SAMs) and other defensive systems. This position will offer the possibility for work with radar & sensor systems and command-and-control systems.

Regardless of the specific threat system, you will discover and exploit all available sources of technical information to develop detailed system and subsystem models and performance assessments. This will require a fundamental understanding of vehicle dynamics and controls, flight mechanics, aerodynamics, and propulsion, coupled with a solid base of programming experience and strong technical writing skills.

Basic Qualifications

· Must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.

· Experience performing analysis for the Scientific and Technical Intelligence community (NASIC, MSIC, ONI, NGIC) or other intelligence agencies is preferred.

· Proficiency in computer programming (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C++) is preferred.

· Candidate must have strong written communication skills, possess good people skills, demonstrate strong attention to detail and have the desire to work on a highly focused technical team of engineers, analysts, and scientists.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama area.

Other Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Special consideration is made for applicable experience in lieu of advanced degrees.

Security Requirements

U.S. Citizenship and a current Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance with SCI eligibility is required. Must possess active SCI clearance with current investigation (within last 4.5 years) and be able to maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.
