Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Hydraulics Design Engineer to support the Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) Project. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
This position will lead the execution of the design, development, integration, and test of hydraulic components and systems for mobile ground-based weapon systems, specifically the Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) Launcher. The LRHW Launcher is a mobile ground-based launcher that fires surface-to-surface missiles carrying a hypersonic glide vehicle and warhead. The launcher utilizes a custom designed hydraulic power unit, fluid distribution, and control system to actuate stabilizers and erect the payload.
Candidate will be responsible for applying sound hydraulic engineering and design principles in the development and refinement of new and existing complex hydraulic systems including outriggers, stabilizers, and payload erector systems.
Candidate will be responsible for hydraulic system architecture, component and system trades, bill of material development, specifications, 3D CAD modeling of hydraulic components and supporting mechanical structure, fabrication and integration drawings, close collaboration with the design team, and hands-on manufacturing and test support.
This position will require development of Technical Data Packages using CAD software (CREO), PDM/PLM systems (Agile/Windchill) and supporting software (Visio) for the production and documentation of complex systems and components.
BS or MS in Hydraulics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university with a minimum of 5+ years of hydraulic design engineering experience.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

Experience and demonstrated skill in any of the following areas is also a plus:
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
