Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos is seeking a talented Entry to Mid-Level Engineer to support Weapons Systems projects including the Long Range Hypersonics Weapon (LRHW) Launcher, Enduring Shield (ES) Launcher, Maneuver Short Range Air Defense (M-SHORAD), High Energy Laser (HEL), and many others.

Candidate will be responsible for incorporating design and manufacturing driven changes into 3D CAD models and 2D drawings in accordance with project, company, and military requirements, specifications, and guidelines. In addition, the candidate will support drawing peer reviews and the drawing release process.

Candidate will apply sound engineering and design principles in the development of machined, structural, sheet metal, welded, and composite component parts and assemblies.

This position will require the development of Technical Data Packages using CAD software (CREO or SolidWorks), PDM/PLM systems (Agile/Windchill) and supporting software (Visio) for the production and documentation of complex systems and components.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering from ABET accredited university with one - five years of experience.
  • Experience using 3D CAD
  • Candidate must be a resident of or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Experience and demonstrated skill in any of the following areas is also a plus:

  • CAD (CREO or SolidWorks)
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5
  • Drawing production in accordance with ASME Y14.100
  • Analysis (Stress or Thermal)
  • Mechanism design
  • Sheetmetal design
  • Structures design
  • Packaging design
  • Cable routing
  • Leadership
  • Project management
  • Knowledge of PDM/PLM products (EPDM, Windchill, AGILE)

Prototyping or production manufacturing

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
