Position Description

The Strategic Programs office of Dynetics Technical Solution (DTS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynetics, is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer for its Hypersonics line of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The successful candidate will serve as an Electrical Engineer with duties that span design of both hardware and software, test equipment, supporting manufacturing activities, and working with sub-contractors/suppliers on electrical aspects of Hypersonic Glide Bodies (HGB). Specific duties include working with software running on a real-time operating system, utilizing LabVIEW on test equipment and/or supporting design for hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) equipment, and hands-on testing support of HGB flight hardware. Work will be conducted in an integration/production facility along with a laboratory environment.

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field from an ABET accredited school is required. Preference shown to candidates that have at least 5 years of relevant experience.

The following skills/abilities are desired:

• Circuit design experience – analog, digital, power

• Experience with electrical schematics and cable diagrams

• Software skills – C, MATLAB, Simulink

• Real-time Operating System – Speedgoat or similar

• Hardware-in-the-Loop

• LabVIEW

• Experience with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, Altium, OrCAD, or similar

• Organizational skills to document designs, assist with Technical Data Packages (TDP) and support production and test of HGB

Other Qualifications

• The ideal candidate would have experience in electronics/avionics/environmental design, testing, and manufacturing with a current DoD Secret clearance.
• Preference shown to candidates that possess any of the following skills/experience:
• LabVIEW certification
• Environmental Testing Experience
• Electrical Assembly Testing Experience
• Travel 10%

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
