Dynetics, a Leidos company, is seeking a talented System Administrator to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The successful candidate will perform systems administration and management duties with components and elements of classified information systems on physical and virtual platforms to support contract computing needs. Systems administered typically contain a mixture of Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems, Linux operating systems, virtualization, network storage devices, authentication servers, and workstations. Candidates must have operational and implementable knowledge of Linux operating systems, functions, and tools such as SLURM, Ansible, and Linux cluster maintenance. This position requires attention to detail, critical thinking, solid organizational skills, and great customer service skills. The position also requires strong written and oral communication skills. The system administrator will work closely with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to ensure needed system changes are compliant with the System Security Plans (SSPs). Address user software, hardware, or configuration change requests and provide technical details to the ISSO for review and approval.
Candidate will be expected to document processes and procedures and make suggestions for and assisting in improving current IT operations. The candidate will need to research new technologies, their best practices and present how to implement new technologies into our environments with a focus on secure implementations.
The candidate will be expected to work with fellow team members, security staff, and the Information System (IS) user base in a constructive manner to present cost-effective, relevant, and responsive IS solutions.
The candidate should be able to adapt to and respond quickly to challenging problems. The candidate should be prepared to assist customers to meet their goals while working within various US Government policy frameworks.
BS degree from an accredited school with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience .
This position requires the candidate be compliant with DOD 8570 IAT II baseline certification requirements within 6 months after hire date.
Existing Security + CE (or equivalent) and computing environment certification(s) are highly desired.
Demonstrated ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques of system administration.
Knowledge of PowerShell and batch scripting supporting automation is a plus.
It is desired that the candidate be familiar with US Government policies and directives (e.g., NIST 800-53, NISPOM, JSIG, and ICD Directives) Experience supporting RMF accreditation processes is a plus, but not required.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Secret clearance and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret clearance.
