Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Software Systems Engineer to join a multi-discipline engineering team developing software for aviation systems. The candidate will be responsible for tracking upcoming system features, creating, and tracking schedules, managing Agile software teams, and maintaining priorities on the product backlog.  The candidate can expect to work in a fast-paced working environment developing offensive and defensive weapon system.

The team follows Agile software practices, shares a passion for solving complex problems, delivering exceptional software, improving software development processes, and exceeding customer expectations.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree
• 4 years of professional software systems engineering experience
• Experience with requirements traceability, functional allocation and decomposition, schedule tracking, and team coordination
• Ability parse ambiguous requirements and translate them into team direction and guidance
• Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the greater Huntsville, AL area

Other Qualifications

The preferred candidate should possess the following:

• Experience in Agile/Scrum software or DevSecOps methodologies
• C++ development experience
• Demonstrated capability to work effectively within a cross functional IPT
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
