Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented SR Threat System Integration Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides alert, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The RF and EW Threat Systems Development Department has a diverse portfolio of projects and programs which specialize in foreign threat radar systems, RF software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators, and open air radar development. The candidate selected for this position will promote projects for the Defense Intelligence Community, AirForce, and large prime contractors.

The Threat System Integration Engineer (Software) will integrate threat models into various architectures including multi-threat simulations and open-air hardware solutions for use in Test, Training, and Evaluation. Job assignments will include developing modular software to interface with COTS and custom peripherals, developing user interfaces to remotely control software and hardware, documentation, system test, and assignments.

Basic Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or software engineering is needed.
  • Four (4) + years of relevant work history in needed.
  • A master's degree in a relevant field in lieu of 2 (two) years of relevant work history will be considered.
  • Past work with C++, C# or other object-oriented language.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a sole contributor and on a team, and to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively convey status and issues.
  • Strong social skills to maintain effective working relationships with team members and customers.

Candidate will be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area

Other Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of radar fundamentals.

The following are preferred but not required.

  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment including signal analyzers, multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio, MATLAB, hardware/software in the loop simulations, Git, Atlassian Tools (Confluence, Bitbucket, JIRA), Real Time Programming.
  • Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP and UDP and familiarity developing messaging protocols using them.
  • Availability for up to 10% CONUS travel.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
