Position Description

Dynetics, a Leidos Company, is seeking a talented Engineering Intern to work with our group for Summer 2024. In this group, you will work to solve complex engineering problems with a highly technical, multidisciplinary team, consisting of aerospace engineers, computer scientists, research scientists, and statisticians.

Our group – the Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence branch – applies engineering and machine learning on a variety of aerospace and defense applications such as autonomous battle management, vehicle guidance, and system identification. This work involves extensive modeling and simulation, requiring the ability to model and understand the dynamics of aerodynamic systems. These simulations are used to perform complex data analysis via end-to-end simulations and develop new and existing capabilities. By integrating machine learning and applying subject matter expertise to this work, we create novel solutions to engineering problems. Our group is also responsible for developing in-house software applications to deploy technical solutions to real world end-users and for hardware-in-the-loop integration and testing. This full spectrum of development and testing enables our group to create highly technical and successful solutions, starting from initial conceptual design and continuing through final flight testing and deployment.
