Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, has a career Opportunity within the Dynetics Group located in Huntsville, Alabama for a talented IT System Administration Manager to join and lead a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. Dynetics includes many delivery programs, production programs, and programs with emerging technologies.

This position requires attention to detail, critical thinking, solid organizational skills, and great customer service skills. Strong written and oral communications skills are paramount for any candidate seeking this position to possess. Success in this position will require the candidate to build coalitions across the Dynetics subsidiary and Leidos as a whole to achieve common goals. This position will report to the Information Assurance Director responsible for the Huntsville, Alabama area.

The successful candidate will design and build strategic plans, set organizational goals, manage a diverse and talented team of System Administrators, and oversee technical projects that align with the origination's goals. They will solve real-world technology challenges, evaluate new technologies for competitive advantages and apply contemporary business principles integral to a high-tech organization. The candidate must have strong business acumen to be successful, they must be able to manage human, financial and information resources strategically.

Their day to day operations will include leading a team of 10-15 technical team members responsible for the operation of numerous classified systems across multiple security levels. Candidate will be expected to prepare budget inputs, staffing plans, and present capital projects to senior leadership. These efforts require the candidate to be able to lead change as well as people.

Candidate will be expected to document existing process and procedures; to lead efforts to improve our current processes and procedures. The candidate will need to research new technologies and develop plans for large scale implementation across the enterprise; with a focus on secure implementations.

The candidate must be able to adapt to and respond quickly to challenging problems. These needs must be met with strategic planning and resource management to ensure effective execution of customer mission needs. The candidate should be prepared to lead these efforts to assist their customers in meeting their goals, while working within various US Government policy frameworks.

The candidate will meet both organizational goals as well as customer expectations by making decisions that produce high-quality results. These decisions will need to be made by applying the candidate's technical knowledge, ability to critically analyze problems and the calculation of risk.

Basic Qualifications

This position requires the candidate be compliant with DOD 8570 baseline certification requirements for IAT II. This position requires the candidate be able to prove strong competencies in risk management.

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management or Cybersecurity desired.

Must have a minimum ten (10) years system administration experience along with a minimum of five (5) years professional leadership experience.

  1. The candidate should be capable and prepared to provide Tier III support to include hardware and software configurations. As well as direct personnel to the appropriate resources to find resolutions.
  2. The candidate will assist Information Assurance personnel with tasks to ensure RMF compliance is maintained.
  3. The candidate will direct efforts to remediate system vulnerabilities through use of policies and procedures governing compliant security posture.
  4. The candidate should have a demonstrated knowledge of current backup hardware and software mechanisms for disaster recovery and continuity of operations.
  5. The candidate will have experience leading an organization responsible for administration of networks and information systems.
  6. The candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and security.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

IAT Level III certifications are a plus.

Knowledge of PowerShell and batch scripting is a plus.

The should candidate be familiar with US Government policies and directives (e.g., NIST 800-53, NISPOM, JSIG/JFAN, and/or DCID Memorandums) Experience with relevant JSIG/JAFAN or ICD RMF accreditation process.

Familiarity with SCC scanner and DISA STIGs would be beneficial. Experience with HPCs, CONDOR and other distributed computing experience a plus.

Security Requirements

U.S. Citizenship and a current Final Top Secret with SCI eligibility is required and be able to maintain a Top Secret SCI Clearance.
