Position Description

Dynetics, Leidos Group is seeking a talented Software Analyst to join an existing team supporting the maintenance, upgrade, and migration of customer application(s). Dynetics has offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

We are interested in an individual who has application development skills, who is willing to support legacy software (i.e., troubleshoot/maintenance/customer support), and develop new software in a team environment.

.In this role you’ll work closely with the customer, often on-site, supporting operations and legacy software, while coordinating with the project team on planning, design, documentation, requirements tracking, testing, and deployment of updated and new data systems. You’ll work with developers to create metrics on data, identify critical issues, and communicate remediation requirements to data providers. Analyst will also provide regular status reports to project team and customer regarding activities scheduled and performed to support schedule and program objectives.

The ideal candidate will be independent and enthusiastic about learning and taking on new challenges.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operations and technical support
• Collect system requirements of existing and proposed systems.
• Support and implement Configuration and Data Management activities.
• Document and track actions to closure
• Regularly solicit information and feedback from development team and customer stakeholders
• Aggregate team inputs for monthly reports and presentations
• Contribute to software development in an agile environment.

 

Basic Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 6 years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree.
• Software development skills (academic or professional)
• Working knowledge of ASP.NET Core, C#, SQL, PHP and XML
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Strong analytical skills and ability to figure out software behavior with minimal existing documentation.
• Strong communication skills, especially in active listening and eliciting information from customers and stakeholders, and the ability to interface with government, military, and contractor personnel.
• Ability to write technical reports and present results to a multi-discipline team.
• Strong customer service mindset and associated soft skills.
• Be a U.S. Citizen and resident of the Huntsville, AL area.

Other Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field
• Two (2) + years applicable software development experience
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Working knowledge of popular IDEs (integrated development environments) (ex. Microsoft Visual Studio, NetBeans, or Eclipse)
• Working familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
• Security+ Certification

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top-Secret Clearance.
