Position Description

Leidos, Dynetics Group is seeking a team-oriented and customer focused CHIEF ENGINEER for an Advanced Radar Program within the Integrated Technology Solutions (ITS) division of Dynetics. The Chief Engineer will work directly with the Program Manager along with organizational leadership to ensure all aspects of the Advanced Radar Program engineering efforts are planned, executed, and communicated to the customer properly.

This role includes overall responsibility for technical execution and IPT oversight of an advanced radar team of 30+ multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, technicians, and support personal that will design, develop, integrate, test, and sustain an advanced radar system for a DoD customer.

The chief engineer in this role will have the following primary responsibilities:

- Leadership and administration of 6 integrated product teams (IPTs)

- Promote cohesive team building with a positive winning culture

- Close coordination with the program manager

- Technical interfacing with the Government technical and leadership team

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field including electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills including demonstrated ability to manage complex technical tasks while gaining the confidence of customers, technical staff, managers, and peers.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in defense industry.
  • Relevant technical experience in radar requirements development and testing
  • Relevant experience in mechanical design of tactical systems

 

Other Qualifications

Candidate must be resident of North Alabama or willing to immediately relocate.

Security Requirements

U.S. Citizenship and a current Final Secret Clearance is required with the ability to meet applicable program security eligibility requirements for the position.

Must be able to maintain a Final Secret Clearance along with meeting and maintaining program security eligibility.
