Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented, self-motivated Radar Analyst to join a diverse team that provides analysis, modeling & simulation, and testing support for complex BMDS radar systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The applicant will join a group of highly technical engineers and analysts supporting multiple radar applications and components of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). The candidate will perform analysis, testing, and evaluation of advanced radar algorithms in areas such as discrimination, tracking, debris mitigation, and electronic protection. Studies may include the assessment of both fielded and conceptual advanced routines in an effort to analyze performance, recommend improvements, and assist with requirements to ultimately improve system-level performance of radars critical to national defense.
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related STEM discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience in radar design, modeling & simulation, analysis, or software development. Candidates with advanced degrees in STEM disciplines and direct experience working with BMDS radar systems are strongly encouraged to apply.
Position requires strong analysis skills, proficiency with MATLAB and compiled software languages such as C/C++, and interest in a broad array of radar topics. Candidate should have familiarity with signal processing, probability and statistics, and basic software design principles. Candidate must be able to work both independently and in team environments and should be capable of providing direction to junior engineers and analysts.
Working on-site at Redstone Arsenal on a multi-contractor team and interacting regularly with the government customer, the candidate will be expected to represent Dynetics technically, professionally and ethically.
Ideally, candidate will have an interest in, and exposure to, complex radar systems (such as the AN/TPY-2, SBX, and LRDR BMDS radars). Candidates with experience in development, analysis, and/or modeling & simulation of radar detection, tracking, and discrimination algorithms are preferred. Experience with and knowledge of ballistic missile countermeasures, target discrimination, and RF signatures are a plus.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
