As a result of the recent award of the Modeling and Simulations Contract Framework and Tools (MASC-F) contract, Dynetics is seeking qualified candidates to join the program. The MASC-F program will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in performing Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and its intended uses. This includes the following categories; Concept Evaluation, Developmental Engineering, Testing and Verification, Assessment, Training, and Operational Support.
MASC-F personnel will support in the following areas.
The candidate will be working in an agile development environment and be responsible for supporting elements of configuration management for software design/sustainment/development efforts. The candidate should be a well-rounded individual with broad experiences but with a focused interest in configuration management. The candidate can expect to work closely with agile teams. The candidate should be a self-starter that is attentive to details and works well in a multi-disciplined teaming environment.
The candidate will lead the development and maintenance of software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development. Design and implement build procedures that are used to support software product development and use. Develop software configuration standards and policies for program-wide use. Train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards. Maintain the Software Configuration Management System including collection or distribution of code documentation, problem report and change request processing, software build documents, and delivery of software products to operational environments. Implement long term organizational objectives for software process improvement (e.g., SEI CMM), compliance with ISO 9000 standards, and software code reuse. Oversight of CM processes used for Model Based Definition and CDRL preparation and delivery.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, OR equivalent experience/combined education.
Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, organize, implement, and maintain a configuration management system.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (BMDS).
Experience in the development, upgrading, and sustainment of software.
Proven ability to work with other functional areas internal and external.
Experience with Clearcase, Clearquest, and administration tasks.
Experience with Linux/Unix commands and environment.
Knowledge of software development methodologies.
Experience managing multiple software baselines.
Experience with Git.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Significant experience using and administering CM tools to store, track, and manage configuration items. Experience working with development teams and project managers to develop and maintain complex system configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.). Specialized technical experience in maintaining the integrity and traceability of complex system configurations.
Experience managing software in an Agile environment desired.
Experience with Redhat (RHEL) 6.x, 7.x.
Experience with Gitlab or Github administration tasks.
OSF or SSF experience is a plus.
