Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a highly-motivated Strategic Account Executive to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for our family of GroundAware® surveillance sensors. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions.

Dynetics is expanding its critical infrastructure security technology business through which we serve the utility, airport, rail, petrochemical, oil and gas, and other commercial and public sectors with our family of GroundAware® surveillance sensors. We are now looking for senior-level sales and business development professional to join our growing team. This role will act as a liaison between our sales, marketing, and customer care team and our customers, with the ultimate goal of ensuring customer satisfaction.

As a strategic account executive, the ideal candidate must work proactively to understand and address customers’ needs and facilitate the sales process from beginning to the end, with a clear understanding of how to achieve both initial and follow-on sales. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are a must, as is a demonstrated ability to contribute to a growth in sales and maintenance of strong, nurturing relationships with our customers today and down the road. Direct experience in the security technology industry and an existing list of prospective customers who are likely buyers of our products.


  • Own the overall health and well-being of assigned accounts throughout the customer lifecycle, from the pursuit of opportunities to initial sales and throughout the customer relationship
  • Act as customers’ primary point of contact with Dynetics
  • Work closely with Dynetics customer care managers as part of team that will ensure the success and satisfaction of customers
  • Organize regular customer meetings to discuss their requirements
  • Resolve problems and handle complaints in a timely manner
  • Identify new potential customers
  • Ensure budget and time requirements are met
  • Stay up-to-date with new features and product launches
  • Establish best practices
  • Monitor and report on sales performance analytics
  • Suggest innovative ideas to increase sales and improve customer experience

Basic Qualifications

10+ years in sales, business development, and related management in the security technology industry or critical infrastructure industry.

15+ years in sales, business development, and related management for high-tech products and services.

Proven work experience as a sales account executive, working with C- and senior-level management within customer organizations.

  • Hands-on experience with customer service, preferably working with high-tech products and services
  • Ability to grasp customers’ needs and increase customer engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to give online and in-person presentations and product demonstrations
  • Solid knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office (MS Excel in particular)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical and time-management skills
  • Flexibility to travel 20-25% of the time

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
