Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented and highly-skilled engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

A successful candidate will work closely with a highly technical, multidisciplinary team to design, develop, test, characterize, and support the application of micro- and nano- scale systems and advanced materials fabrication.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: modeling performance of microfluidic devices, studying processing factors, optimizing manufacturing systems, methods and processes for the development of a variety advanced materials.

The responsibilities of this position include: determining appropriate tool and model fidelity for addressing a technical problem, creating the necessary model and mesh, conducting analysis (solver) runs, documenting analysis results, communicating analysis results and their implications to the internal development team and customer stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

Master's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or a related field is required.

Exceptional candidate with at least 2 years of experience in engineering with an emphasis in FVM or FEM numerical analysis will be considered, 5+ years preferred.

Experience with some form of CFD solver is required.

Familiarity with COMSOL Multiphysics, Ansys Multiphysics, or CFD solvers that include chemical species tracking is desirable.

Background with applied aerodynamics, internal flows, heat transfer, or fluid structure interactions is a plus.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Strong work ethic and a positive team player.
Good oral and written communication skills are necessary.
Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Experience with technical documents and proposal or report writing is desired.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.
