Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Product Quality Leader to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Dynetics is seeking an experienced Product Quality Leader to support commercial, aerospace, and defense manufacturing programs.  Candidate will develop, implement, and perform product quality standards, operating procedures, mistake-proofing, and metrics to support the growth of manufacturing programs. Candidate will work with project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure expectations of quality control requirements are known. This role will also develop and implement Dynetics Quality Management System requirements into daily activities in support of the manufacturing program leadership.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing a product’s daily in-process quality activities, including the product specific receiving inspection process.
  • Collaboration with DCMA and other government and/or customer quality assurance organizations
  • Supporting Production team with implementation of mistake-proofing line side and assisting Engineering in print reviews
  • Development and execution of Non-Conforming Material process and Material Review Board activities
  • Supporting Corporate Purchasing team with supplier evaluation and discussions
  • Plan quality staffing needs based on product manufacturing requirements, and delegate activities to Quality Engineer, Technician, and Inspector staff

Basic Qualifications

Position requires a BA/BS degree from an accredited university. In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 10-years’ experience in quality engineering is required.

The candidate must have served in a quality role while working in a production environment for a minimum of 5 years and have experience writing work instructions, procedures, and implementing QMS documentation.

The candidate must have experience working with non-conforming material and mistake-proofing.

The candidate must have led teams performing failure analysis, identifying root cause and implementing corrective actions.

Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

Candidate must be able to review and interpret contract quality clauses and technical data and develop and document appropriate quality verification procedures, plans, and work instructions, including First Article Inspection documentation.

Experience managing a product’s quality records, retention of quality records, and traceability.

Demonstrated experience in evaluating suppliers’ quality processes.

Candidate must have computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office.

Candidate must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Some travel is required, typically no more than 25% (one week per month).

 

Other Qualifications

AS9100 experience preferred.

Two (2) years of experience with electrical components and assemblies is preferred.

AS9102 FAI documentation and receiving inspection standard development expereince.

 

 

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
