Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Thermal Analyst/Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the U.S. engaging in the intelligence, missiles, aviation, space, and cyber fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering and scientific solutions.
The selected individual will serve as a lead thermal analyst/engineer, performing detailed thermal/aerothermal analysis and thermal control system design during the detailed design and testing of missile and space systems. The individual will interface with system design leads and other subsystem lead analysts/engineers, mechanical designers, component engineers, test engineers, safety, reliability, other vehicle subsystem engineers, and ground system engineering teams. The individual will support test data analysis and completion of verification/ validation documents and reports to support vehicle certification.
The position requires a B.S. or equivalent degree in engineering, preferably aerospace or mechanical, with at least three (3) years of thermal- and fluid-system hardware-related experience.
Candidates with advanced degree(s) in engineering or a related academic fields and with additional experience are preferred.
Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of and experience with defense, civil, and/or commercial space engineering practices and processes, including the product development cycle through qualification and production. Specifically, candidates must have experience with space and missile hardware development.
Candidates must have experience with thermal, fluid, and mechanical systems engineering and analysis. Candidates must have an understanding of propulsion systems, and direct project experience with space and missile thermal and fluid system design and/or analysis is preferred.
Candidates must have demonstrated an ability to deliver results in a team environment and independently. The ideal candidate has strong organization and communication (verbal and written) skills and is self-motivated.
Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office software tools. Candidates must also have experience with one or more thermal/fluid/mechanical system design and analysis tools; in-depth experience with SINDA/FLUINT by C&R Technologies is preferred.
Candidate must be a US citizen, and must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
