Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Hardware Integration and Verification Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the U.S. engaging in the intelligence, missiles, aviation, space, and cyber fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering and scientific solutions.

The selected individual will serve as an integration and verification engineer for the design, procurement, build, and test of integrated propulsion systems and other space systems. Primary responsibilities will include identification, tracking, and evaluation of hardware designs against system-level requirements; development and implementation of trade studies; documentation of verification plans; support of test planning and procedures creation; and support of requirement verification through design, analysis, and test execution.

The individual will work closely with the project manager(s) on assigned project(s). The individual will interface with department leadership and project engineers, mechanical designers, component engineers, test engineers, safety, and quality across Dynetics.

Beyond the primary task, the individual will support various projects in the Space Systems Division. Projects will involve diverse space technologies, subsystems, and integrated systems.


Basic Qualifications

The position requires a B.S. or equivalent degree in engineering, preferably aerospace or mechanical, with five (5) years of space hardware-related experience.

Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office software tools.

Candidates must have demonstrated an ability to deliver results in a team environment and independently.

Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of and experience with defense, civil, and/or commercial space engineering practices and processes, including the product development cycle through qualification and production.

Candidates must also have an understanding and/or experience with the following:

  • Working with NASA, DoD, or commercial space industry in requirements development, tracking, and verification
  • Creation of test plans and procedures and support of test execution
  • Working around propulsion, fluid, and pressurized systems
  • Thermal, fluid, and mechanical systems engineering and analysis of space systems
  • Space hardware development, qualification, and assembly processes

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

The position requires travel and may include periods of frequent travel for critical program assembly, integration, and test activities.


Other Qualifications

Experience with project planning and scheduling using Microsoft Project is preferred.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.


Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
