Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Structural Engineer/Analyst to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Applicant will support the Dynetics Space Division, primarily responsible for the integrated analysis of complex systems and structural hardware. The position requires use of analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools to produce models, and perform calculations and analysis, for structural aerospace products. This includes detailed stress analyses utilizing standard industry programs, as well as hand calculations. Candidate will work in a team environment to support conceptual design through product implementation.


Basic Qualifications

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

Candidate should have 5-10 years' direct experience performing structural analysis.

A proven working knowledge of Femap, NASTRAN, and/or ANSYS software is required.

Candidate must be able to write technical reports and present data to a multi-disciplined team.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.


Other Qualifications

Experience with both metallic and composite materials is a plus.

Candidate should demonstrate organizational skills and be detail-oriented.

Applicant should have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.


Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
