Dynetics, and employee-owned company, is seeking a talented FPGA and Microcontroller Hacker to join a diverse team to create unique solution for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions.
The FPGA and Microcontroller Hacker will join our multidisciplinary team of engineers to solve technically challenging problems with innovative, cost-effective solutions in support of foreign weapon reverse engineering. This challenging position will allow for the opportunity to contribute immediately to important, meaningful work while working directly with a diverse team of experienced engineers.
Day to day work duties will include reverse-engineering FPGA bitstreams and configuration data, disassembling microcontroller binaries, decompiling C programs, and utilizing specialized lab equipment to extract data from various integrated circuits. This work includes developing custom hardware techniques, as well as custom software to aid and automate the reverse-engineering of various types of software and firmware binaries. This position will have responsibility for the characterization and vulnerability analysis of software and firmware embedded within missile and radar systems.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's or higher Science or Engineering Degree from an ABET-accredited university with a 3.5 or higher GPA.
Candidate must have education or work experience designing and verifying FPGA designs.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience with hardware description languages including VHDL or Verilog.
Candidate must have experience with FPGA synthesis and simulation tools.
Candidate must have demonstrated an understanding of various FPGA fabric architectures.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience using PC or microcontroller-based assembly language.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience developing test procedures and hardware setups.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.
