Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

This position will involve printed circuit board design, debug and test primarily for military avionics applications. Work duties include component selection, schematic design and capture, board level testing and debugging, and system level integration and testing, and engineering documentation. Systems under design incorporate a combination of skillsets spanning digital, analog, mixed-signal, and RF applications.

This position will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects in a fast-paced environment, with an emphasis on microcontroller-based embedded hardware and firmware products. The position will include significant interaction with other design engineers, project managers, technicians, senior design personnel, and manufacturing personnel.

Basic Qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 5+ years of applicable experience with embedded hardware and firmware products.

Experience with checkout, debug and troubleshooting of electronic printed circuit board assemblies comprising embedded hardware and firmware is required.

Candidates must possess a current SECRET clearance with an investigation completed within the past 6 years. 

Candidate must be a resident of the Fort Walton Beach, FL Area or willing to relocate to the Fort Walton Beach, FL Area.

 

Other Qualifications

Familiarity or experience with any of the following would be preferred:

  • Embedded microcontroller-based hardware design
  • Interfacing to RF components and high speed mixed-signal components
  • Real-time embedded firmware and VHDL programming
  • Altium Designer schematic capture software and PCB layout
  • Intel Quartus or XILINX Vivado FPGA tools

 

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Possess (and be able to maintain) a SECRET clearance with an investigation within the past 6 years and eventually a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance.
