The Product Engineering Department is a design-focused group of engineers specializing in advanced hardware products. The individual selected for this position will be a design engineer with varied technical interests and demonstrated engineering skills. The individual must be a self-starter with experience working with inter-disciplinary teams to solve challenging technical problems. The engineer will work closely with electronics integrated into a diverse range of aerospace and military systems including manned/unmanned ground/air vehicles, missiles, defensive radars, and space systems.
The Stress Analyst will support the stress analysis of structural and mechanical systems and support various test activities. The position requires use of analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools to produce models, perform analysis, calculations, data reduction, and correlate test results for structures and/or structural dynamics. This analysis will include detailed stress analyses utilizing standard industry programs. Additional responsibilities will include working closely with the design activity to refine mechanical designs based upon the stress analysis results.IND2
The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related technical discipline with a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Candidate must have at least 5-10 years of experience with stress/structural design and/or analysis.
Candidate is required to have proven working knowledge with any of the commercial finite element analysis tools (e.g. FEMAP/NX NASTRAN, PATRAN/MSC NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.).
Candidate must be able to write technical reports and present data to a multi-disciplined team.
The position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preference shown to candidates who possess a Mechanical Engineering Degree with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Experience with both metallic and composite materials is a plus.

Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
