Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a Junior Enterprise Architect to join a diverse, highly-skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective intelligence, engineering, scientific, and IT solutions.

This candidate will work under the direction of an engineering team to collect system requirements of existing and proposed systems and transcribe into models, applying Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) practices and utilization of UML and SysML software applications. The candidate must be able to review and learn to create enterprise architecture products, such as DoDAF-compliant products (SVs, OVs, etc.).

Previous MBSE modeling experience not required, however, two skills are: One, a strong interest and a general understanding of systems engineering is necessary, and two, soft skills such as active listening, and ability to elicit information from Subject Matter Experts.

Individual should have the desire and sufficient analytical skills necessary to become a Junior Enterprise Architect and Systems Engineer/Modeler supporting various aerospace and defense platforms.

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Science discipline is desired. In lieu of specific degree, two+ years of applicable experience is required.

  • Experience with requirements development, functional analysis, or architecture definition
  • Model Based Systems Engineering with SysML and/or UML software development experience, either manual or automated
  • DoD systems design, architecture definition, and analysis, specifically Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)

Systems engineering education/experience desirable.

The candidate needs to have solid analytical skills and be precise with their communications, especially in active listening and eliciting information from customers and stakeholders.

Strong written /verbal communication skills and the ability to interface with government, military, and contractor personnel in addition to proficiency with MS Office are required.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

The candidate must be proactive in continual self-learning and be able to work effectively alone and collaboratively among a diverse staff of talented engineers and analysts.

Experience using tools like MagicDraw, SparxEA, Rhapsody, etc. is highly desirable. Hands on experience with Aviation platforms especially Army Aviation systems is a plus.

 

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
