Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Program Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the U.S. engaging in the intelligence, missiles, aviation, space, and cyber fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering and scientific solutions.
The Program Manager will primarily be tasked with managing one or more fast-paced projects to develop and demonstrate military space systems from flight prototypes to production and field operations. Contracts under management may involve major subsystems, elements, or full weapon systems and are expected to span the full product life cycle: design, analysis, manufacture, qualification, and production.
As manager of development and demonstration activities, the individual will lead a highly matrixed staff through integrated product teams or a similar management approach. Duties will include program planning, scheduling, and resource management and management of other leads who have sub-level Control Account Management responsibilities. The individual will serve as the primary customer interface and will work with the customer, program team, and suppliers to ensure tasks are completed on time and budget and will meet all program requirements. The individual will also interface with other program managers as well as division and company leadership. Additional duties will include business development, proposals, and cost estimating for existing or related efforts.
Beyond the primary task, the individual may support various projects in the Space Systems Division involving diverse defense, civil, and/or commercial space technologies, subsystems, and systems.IND2
The position requires a B.S. or equivalent degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
The position requires at least 15 years of experience in aerospace with missiles and/or space hardware experience AND at least 3 years of direct project management experience, including project planning and scheduling.
Candidates must have demonstrated an ability to deliver results in a team environment and independently.
Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office tools and with project planning and scheduling software.
Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with defense, civil, and/or commercial space system engineering practices and processes, including the product development cycle through qualification and production.
Candidates must also have an understanding and/or experience with the following:
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
The position requires travel and may include periods of frequent travel for critical program assembly, integration, and test activities.
Candidates with advanced degree(s) in engineering or related academic fields are preferred.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Microsoft Project experience is preferred.
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
