Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Systems Architect to join a diverse and highly skilled team. The candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, securing, testing and maintaining IT infrastructure and information systems supporting business, engineering, and manufacturing activities.
This position will require the candidate to have systems design, analysis, implementation, and integration experience focused on IT managed systems and major applications.
The candidate will primarily be responsible for analyzing system requirements, designing resilient system architectures, and securely implementing approved system designs. Candidate will document procedures, follow configuration management processes, ensure systems meet service level agreements, assist with planning and implementing system upgrades, and provide technical support as required. Candidate will ensure system architecture is compatible with existing systems and compliant with policies, procedures, and standards.
Candidate will be required to learn relevant, highly technical system details and domain knowledge, and synthesize this knowledge into an effective systems architecture. The candidate will work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the business units to extract detailed technical requirements, identify the IT resources necessary, and work with teammates to implement and maintain the necessary infrastructure components. The candidate will assess, document, and configure existing systems to ensure they are secure, relevant, and resilient.

Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems, or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
Candidate should have at least 8 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining IT management systems.
Candidate must demonstrate strong competency in Systems and Network Architecture. The candidate should be competent using the following technologies: Microsoft System Center, Directory Services, Group Policy, and Windows Server.
Candidate must be team oriented and possess both interpersonal and collaborative decision-making skills.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related relevant field is a plus.
Experience with Linux Server OSes, VMware, Mobile Iron, Puppet, and Centrify is desirable.
Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connection, Jabber, and WebEx is a plus.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
