Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Junior Software Developer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
A successful candidate will work closely with a team of engineers and scientists to develop software solutions in image processing, computer vision, and machine learning subject areas. Projects will range from the implementation of algorithms in existing literature; optimizing and/or refactoring existing codebases into programming languages sufficient for embedded systems and other platforms; developing software tools to support data modeling and analysis; and software development to support laboratory measurement hardware and existing modeling and simulation efforts. The developer will have direct communication with customers, stakeholders, and other team members to help define software requirements.
The candidate will develop software tools for a variety of operating systems and platforms, including Windows, Linux, and embedded FPGAs and GPUs. The candidate will use a variety of programming languages and applications including C++, Python, CUDA, MATLAB, and others.

A Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited school in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 1-5 years of applicable experience.
For Entry level candidates with <1 year of experience, perference will be given to those with a GPA higher than 3.5.
The position will require the ability to multitask, communicate effectively with various stakeholders, and determine day-to-day tasking based on customer needs.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama area.
In addition to the qualifications listed above, an ideal candidate will have experience with data analysis, image processing, computer vision, and/or machine learning using one or both of the following:
Experience optimizing and developing code for embedded systems.
Familiarity with CUDA application development and optimization.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
