Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Editor / Writer to join a diverse, highly-skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems involving foreign weapons systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective intelligence, engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
Dynetics is currently seeking a technical editor/writer to write, edit, proofread, and copyedit a variety of documents, including but not limited to briefings, proposals, technical papers, and white papers. The editor/writer will plan and prepare documents for dissemination and ensure that all documents meet established content standards. The applicant must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field and rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
The editor/writer will perform a variety of tasks and work under general supervision. Must be able to interact with Teammates and Customers in an effective manner. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Must have a BS in English, communications or related degree with 3+ years of applicable experience.
Requires extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office 2013 or higher.
Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to gain support and establish working relationships with managers, peers and staff.
Candidate should demonstrate advanced organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through, and should have experience handling multiple, highly complex tasks simultaneously.
Candidate must be self-motivated, value teamwork, and display strong communication skills.
Candidate must have strong critical thinking skills, sound judgment, excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills; be able to provide succinct instructions in high-pressure situations, often under time constraints; and be able to adjust to constantly changing priorities and demand.
Candidate should have a proven track record of success writing successful, competitive, high-value proposals and RFI responses and the ability to analyze large quantities of information from multiple sources and compile it to convey complex technical ideas clearly and concisely.
Applicant must submit a portfolio of work during the interview process.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama area.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
Preferred candidate will possess a Secret clearance.
Experience with proposal preparation a plus.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
