Dynetics, and employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Electronics Technician to join a diverse team to create unique solution for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions.
The Electronics Technician will involve repair of seeker optical-mechanical assemblies, radars, and other electronics as well as production of specialized test equipment. This includes assembly, setup, calibration, testing and trouble-shooting of circuits, components, mechanical assemblies or products. The position will require hands-on work oftentimes involving small and delicate components. This position involves hand soldering of surface mount and through-hole components. Consistent exercise of discretion and judgment in work performance is required. Candidate will have to demonstrate past experience in designing and building hardware to meet challenging technical requirements.
Some travel for field test events will be required.IND2
This position will require a High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
Candidates must have at least 3 years’ experience in electrical/electronics assembly or test.
Candidates must have experience in troubleshooting of complex devices or systems using standard test equipment.
Candidate must have achieved J-STD-001 soldering certification within the last 5 years and must have experience soldering under a microscope.
Candidate will be required to have the computer skills associated with these design and assembly tasks, including proficiency in using corporate manufacturing data systems, creating documents and spreadsheets for manufacturing information such as work instructions, parts lists, inventory reports, etc.
Basic experience reading schematic drawings and other manufacturing documentation will be required.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preference shown to candidates who possess an Associates Degree in a technical field.
Candidates should have experience with board level circuit assembly, cable harnesses, electromechanical assemblies, and use of basic electrical test equipment.
Experience working with foreign or domestic missile hardware is a plus.
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.
