Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented PNT Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique modeling, simulation, and analysis solutions for complex weapon and sensor systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The National Intelligence Department supports multiple customers in providing innovative technical solutions in the following areas: technical data analysis, modeling and simulation, HW/SW development, system exploitation and reverse engineering, and RF system design.

The NID is looking for a qualified engineer to support the testing, analysis, and characterization of military and commercial PNT systems with a focus on resiliency in degraded/denied environments. This support may range from hardware-in-the-loop testing and algorithm development to alternative PNT technology research and large-scale demonstration exercise planning. Candidate would serve in a technical advisory role alongside a mixed government / contractor team in relevant PNT related technologies including GPS receivers, precise time and frequency distribution, inertial navigation, pseudolites, alternative navigation, etc.


Basic Qualifications

-Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent degree.

-A minimum of 5 years experience in one or more core PNT fields.  Experience and understanding of GNSS denial/deception techniques and hands-on testing experience using GNSS simulators (e.g. Spirent, Spectracom) is highly desired.

-Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

  • Candidate must demonstrate relevant skills in one or more of the focus areas, be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, and have the desire to work in a highly focused technical team to solve challenging problems utilizing a broad spectrum of skills.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.
