Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented, established Structural Engineer/Analyst to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. The Structural Engineer/Analyst will support the Dynetics Space Division with development of aerospace products and support equipment, primarily responsible for the integrated analysis of complex systems and structural hardware. The position requires use of analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools to produce models, and perform calculations and analysis, for a variety of aerospace related products. This includes detailed stress analyses utilizing standard industry software programs, as well as analyses via hand calculations. Candidate will work in a team environment to support conceptual design through product implementation.IND2
The position requires a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must have at least 4 years' direct experience performing structural analysis.
A proven working knowledge of Femap, NASTRAN, Abaqus and/or ANSYS software is required.
Candidate must be able to write technical reports and to present results to a multi-disciplined team.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
A Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred.
Experience performing analysis on both metallic and composite materials is a plus.
Candidate should have good organizational skills and be detail-oriented.
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
