Dynetics is seeking a Project Manager (PM) for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems. The work will involve customer interaction leading to a robust understanding of objectives and priorities. This person will then direct proposal development, including cost estimation and schedule definition, carefully aligned to meet customer needs. After award, this individual will define work packages, obtain personnel commitments, pace the team through project execution, lead customer interactions, guide the project to successful conclusion from the customer’s perspective, and set the stage for follow-on business opportunities.
Individual Must have Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (physical sciences, engineering, or mathematics) from an ABET accredited school with 10+ years of overall technical experience, 5 of which are related to unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area
The following qualifications are also desirable:
Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (physical sciences, engineering, or mathematics)
20 years of technical experience, at least 10 of which are related to unmanned aircraft systems (UAS)
10 years of leadership and/or management experience
10 years of experience with government (DoD) contracting processes
Experience with Counter-UAS technologies, programs and/or UAS vulnerability assessments
Flight test experience, including test range coordination and associated logistics
Understanding of aviation safety standards and approval processes (Airworthiness Releases, Materiel Releases, System Safety, Software Safety)
Knowledge of aviation regulations as they pertain to UAS flight operations
Practical application of system engineering principles for fast-moving programs on short schedules
Experience with proposal development and/or competitive proposal analysis
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
