Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Sr. Model and Simulation Systems Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, costeffective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Senior Model and Simulation Systems Engineer (Sr M&S SE) will work as a member of the Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Project Office System Engineering Directorate team to ensure all models and simulations are integrated and functioning effectively and efficiently in the Government System Integration Laboratory (G-SIL). The G-SIL is the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) venue in which each new release and field engineering change (FEC) of tactical IAMD Battle Command System (IBCS) software is integrated and tested on the tactical hardware. Full IAMD task force configurations, as well as additional integration lines, are available for HWIL testing. The tactical IAMD is stimulated by sixteen (16) different medium to high fidelity model and simulations, such as sensors, launchers, uplinkers, interceptors, scenarios, and air truth.
The Sr M&S SE will be the single point of contact (POC) to ensure effective and efficient operation of all G-SIL models and simulations and will be the liaison to the parent groups that develop and maintain the models. As it relates to G-SIL models and simulations, Sr M&S SE activities will include, but not limited to: planning for and successful integration of new or modified M&S capabilities; coordinating M&S developer access to G-SIL; planning and successful validation and verification of G-SIL M&Ss; ensuring the G-SIL M&Ss are meeting requirements of IAMD software developers, analysts and testers; coordinating trouble reports and fixes against the G-SIL M&S; evolving the M&S capabilities as IAMD G-SIL needs change; and briefings to senior leadership. Success for the Sr M&S SE is when the G-SIL is seen as the “go to” venue to flush out issues before putting the tactical software into the warfighter’s hands.IND3
