Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Lead RF Sensor Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. The Product Engineering Department is a design-focused group of engineers specializing in advanced hardware products. The individual selected for this position will be a design engineer with demonstrated experience leading inter-disciplinary teams to develop complex RF sensors. The engineer will develop hardware for various DoD, Intelligence, and Commercial customers.
The Lead RF Sensor Engineer will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment through all phases of the product life cycle from conceptual development and detailed design through manufacturing, qualification testing, and post-delivery support. The engineer will be responsible for developing the sensor architecture, leading key design trade studies, and providing subject matter expertise during the detailed design, integration, and test activities. Candidate will work with the customer and project manager to help define requirements, architecture, and program plans to satisfy unique technical goals. Candidate will also work with proposal managers to propose novel technical approaches to emerging remote sensing challenges. The candidate should demonstrate experience with DSP and waveform development, radar hardware design, and antenna design and characterization.
With a product focus, the individual is also expected to actively partner with other engineers, project managers, technicians and the customer to develop solutions that adhere to a diverse set of requirements. This position will help ensure the engineering team (of which they are a member) and the project manager (with whom they work closely with) are on the same page and able to overcome challenges (both technical and programmatic) that may arise.IND2
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution
Candidates must have a minimum 5+ years of experience developing RF sensors
Candidates must have expertise in digital/analog/mixed signal, RF, or optical electronics system design
Candidates must have demonstrated experience in hardware design and test from architecture through implementation
Candidates must have expertise in DSP and waveform development
Candidates must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment and have experience mentoring & guiding team members.
Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preference shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
