Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Business Development & Sales Representative to join a diverse, highly-skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems involving foreign weapons systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective intelligence, engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Business Development / Sales Representative is responsible for growing sales for managed IT services, managed cyber security services, and cyber security solutions. The position will be responsible for prospecting for new customers, cross-selling to and renewing existing customers and developing relationships with partners. He/she will work to ensure that we effectively penetrate the market and grow our business in a coordinated manner. The position will be responsible for managing customer relationships to ensure that we retain, renew, and expand our relationships with existing customers and partners. The position will leverage phone, email, social media, and face-to-face meetings to engage with prospects to uncover and develop new sales opportunities. This position will engage directly with channel and technology partners to expand our market reach and create new revenue streams. This position will also be responsible for supporting corporate activities, including but not limited to: hosting customers in the office for briefings and tours, trade show activities, local networking events and supporting marketing efforts. This position will collaborate with company leadership, technical team members, and other departments and divisions within the company to ensure that the efforts of the organization align with department and corporate goals. The position will be responsible for many duties including but not limited to:

  • Developing, executing and tracking a territory plan
  • Developing and executing a key account strategy as a primary component of his/her territory plan
  • Updating activity, pipeline development and opportunities in corporate databases
  • Developing prospect lists
  • Proactively reaching out to prospects via phone, email, social media and in person
  • Develop marketing campaigns to build awareness and mindshare with prospects as well as nurturing campaigns to existing customers
  • Create outreach campaigns to attract new customers
  • Researching potential customers to understand their business, key initiatives and to uncover the appropriate stakeholders for us to engage with
  • Supporting company events, trade shows and industry events
  • Assist in development of marketing collateral and assets including web content, whitepapers, FAQ’s, video creation, presentations and sales demonstrations

Basic Qualifications

Undergraduate degree from an ABET accredited school  with 4 years years field sales experience including proactive business development activity.

or

in lieu of a degree, a Minimum of 6+ years field sales experience including proactive business development activity.

Experience in IT/Technology/Cyber field is required.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Experience calling on commercial accounts/state and federal agencies in North Alabama and the Southeastern United States is preferredProficient with key software packages including SalesForce, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
