Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented RF engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The RF Engineer will join our team of engineers to evaluate and analyze RF vendor solutions advising our DoD customers with issues relating to the future of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) communications systems. Our team provides technical and academic counsel for government product offices to aid in product improvement and acquisitions. This ensures that our customers can maximize capability in a cost-effective manner as new, advanced communications capabilities are sought out.

The work will be performed in a standard office environment.

Basic Qualifications

Must have a BS degree from an ABET accredited school in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university with a 3.2 or higher GPA.

Candidate must have at least 3 - 10 years of experience in RF communications or RF test.

Candidate must have hands-on RF equipment experience (spectrum analyzer, signal generator, network traffic analyzers).

Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Preference shown to candidates who possess a Technical Degree with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Master’s degree in the above subjects is a plus.

Preferred candidates will also have familiarity with some of the following:

  • Communications data links for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR)
  • Unmanned systems data links
  • SATCOM and LOS communications
  • Frequency management planning
  • Spread spectrum concepts (e.g., DSSS, processing gain)
  • Networked data links (e.g., CDMA/TDMA, MANET)
  • Digital signal processing and signal detection techniques
  • Electronic warfare (e.g., jamming, detection)
  • Link budget analysis
  • Proficiency in MATLAB
  • Academic concentration in electromagnetics theory
  • Electromagnetic formula derivation and implementation in MATLAB for RF analysis or simulation
  • Technical documentation
  • RF lab and flight test setup

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
