Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking talented Business Development Analyst to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Business Development Analyst will be responsible for growing sales for the Avionics and Test Solutions division. Candidates must be capable of direct interaction with prospective customers to understand high-level technical requirements, issues, and price sensitivities, and to communicate the key features of potential solutions to customer requirements. Some travel will be required.

The position will be responsible for many duties including but not limited to:

  • Facilitating and coordinating winning responses to primarily federal government professional services and hardware procurements
  • Developing, executing and tracking a sales plan
  • Updating activity, pipeline development and opportunities in corporate databases
  • Researching potential customers to understand their business, key initiatives and to uncover the appropriate stakeholders for us to engage with
  • Managing customer relationships to ensure that we retain, renew, and expand our relationships with existing customers and partners.
  • Supporting corporate activities, such as: hosting customers in the office for briefings and tours, trade show activities, local networking events and supporting industry events
  • Assist in development of marketing collateral and assets including web content, whitepapers, FAQ’s, video creation, presentations and sales demonstrations

Basic Qualifications

Undergraduate business or engineering degree (MBA preferred) from an ABET accredited school with 3+ years field sales experience including proactive business development activity.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to identify and process business and legal proposal issues; ability to read and understand requests for quotes, invitations to bid, and requests for proposals.

Results oriented individual with a strong work ethic. Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills; ability to prioritize and meet time sensitive deadlines; ability to balance multiple simultaneous projects; good communication skills, both with external customers and internal staff.

Candidates desired that possess the following: knowledge and understanding of proposal development activities and processes associated with federal government procurements in the science and engineering, electronics products, avionics subsystems, and other weapon system technologies.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
