Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Journeyman Data Analyst to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems related to Test and Evaluation of Aircraft Survivability Equipment. This position focuses on planning and executing data analyses associated with test activities whith utilize the Defense Acquisition System (DAS) process to support milestone decisions for product development. Travel will be part of the rhythm of this position along with the opportunity to contribute to the development of systems to project Army aircraft and pilots.

The candidate will help lead and facilitate data analysis planning, scheduling, logistics and execution and will be required to support on-site test activities according to customer driven requirements and schedules. Must be familiar with test activities, data collection and reduction, and statistical analysis. Must be capable of working on a team and interacting with other agencies to ensure data analysis objectives are understood. Work closely and coordinate efforts with and between system engineers, customers, and service personnel. Participate in activities associated with planning and execution of both laboratory and field test activities to include captive flight, free flight, guided weapons evaluation, and other ASE specific test activities with a focus on analysis of the resulting data.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited college in Engineering, Science, or related technical discipline with 2-5 years of data and statistical analysis related experience.

Candidate should be able to demonstrate the following capabilities and/or experience:

  • Understand data analysis requirements and develop plans to meet the requirements.
  • Software skills for developing tools for data reduction and analysis.
  • Work well in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.
  • Technical ability to understand ASE technologies to be tested.
  • Desire to learn and grow both technically and as a leader
  • Solid people and communication skills.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

- Use of MATLAB for data reduction and analysis is desired.

- Experience with design of experiments (DOE) is desired.

- Test related experience would be a plus.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
