Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Audio/Video (AV) Technician to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
This position will be responsible for installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining audio/video products and components of the facilities containing them. The candidate will ensure optimal performance of AV systems based on situational and customer requirements. The AV Technician will be responsible tier 2 troubleshooting of AV hardware. Additional duties include acting as project lead for AV projects and coordination with other departments when performing hardware installations, conference room upgrades and new conference room construction.IND3
This position requires knowledge and experience related to personal computers, networking, and a strong proficiency with Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Technical experience related to AV equipment integration, handling, break/fixing, and configuring hardware is required.
The candidate must have experience building and installing network, audio, and video cabling and connectors.
Candidate must convey a pleasant and helpful customer-oriented approach when assisting employees and Dynetics customers. Excellent communication skills and the ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks is required.
Occasional travel may be required in support of this position.
Must possess (and maintain) a valid driver's license and be able to climb, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds without aid.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
1. Platform experience with Mac would also be beneficial.
2. Candidates with an Audio Visual Technology degree or an Information Technology degree would be preferred.
3. Carpentry, electrical, and/or construction experience is helpful.
4. Previous experience working in a professional venue with AV equipment, projectors, large scale displays, and audio mixers to manage music, sound, and lighting is a plus.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
