Position Description

Dynetics Technical Solutions, Inc. (DTS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynetics, Inc. The Strategic Programs office is seeking a qualified Logistics Lead for its hypersonics line of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics Technical Solutions provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The successful candidate will oversee and support the day-to-day efforts at the facility for Hypersonic Glide Body (HGB) production. This position will work closely with the Program Operations Site Lead to coordinate support that meets program needs. The candidate will be providing support for Product Management, Sustainment, Design Influence, Maintenance Planning and Management, Supplies, Packaging, Handling, Storage, Transportation, Technical Data Management, Cost/Control Account Management, Earned Value Management, and Systems Engineering.

The candidate will also be performing monthly budget and cost analysis for logistics cost accounts. This will include monitoring the master schedule for program activities and providing logistics input to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to ensure coverage as well as manage the daily logistics schedule for production and maintenance.

Basic Qualifications

An associate’s degree or higher in a relevant business management or manufacturing field is required.

Candidate should have at least 10+ years of relevant experience in Aerospace and Defense, Missile Assembly, or Space hardware production activities.

Must have experience authoring BOEs for logistics and test support during proposal efforts and upon contract award. Reviewing and assigning requirements for the program, assisting in determining requirement verification methods for the program. 

Developing and briefing information for customer reviews, assisting in development of program test plan, authoring logistics support plan, authoring logistics plan, performing site surveys to determine if they could support the program needs. 

Provide support of Assembly, Integration, and Test processes while providing full life cycle support, providing logistics employees day-to-day direction as required for test set up and support, packing of equipment, performance of maintenance tasks, coordinating tasks with support organizations, reporting to management and customers, and supporting as part of the mechanical, electrical, and test teams as required during Assembly, Integration and Test operations.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Sustaining Engineering:

Briefing monthly data packages to customer on maintenance and storage actions. Support as the touch labor for vehicle work. Providing daily temperature and humidity reports to the program and customer. Coordinating all movements and storage of program assets.

Design Influence:

Assisting with developing CONOPs for operations, development of CONOPs for maintenance and transportation activities, development of logistics support concepts for new projects.

Maintenance Planning and Management:

Performing as logistics lead for maintenance operations on ground support and flight hardware and overseeing maintenance operations on electrical and ground support equipment.

Supply Support:

Handling procurement of support equipment and consumables for operations, coordinating property transfers with internal and customer contracts personnel, maintaining inventory, paperwork, and asset control of tagged property.

Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation:

Developing transportation plans and procedures for domestic and international shipments along with coordinating, and executing domestic and international shipments of flight hardware. Packaging, completing the needed paperwork, and certification of hazardous shipments. Assisting in development of transportation requirements for flight and support equipment. Ensuring all transportation requirements are satisfied during shipments and performing data analysis of transportation events for all flight hardware movement. Assisting in stress and acceleration analysis of transportation events and developing and implementing transportation plans for moving flight hardware from production facilities to remote site.

Technical Data Management:

Developing Product Support Management Plans and other documentation for delivery to customer along with performing in depth analysis of environmental data recordings and documenting the results.

Systems Engineering:

Have the ability to support systems engineering.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
