In anticipation of NASA awarding the Human Landing System (HLS) contract in the near future, Dynetics Space System Division is seeking qualified engineers and analysts to support NASA programs; including the history-making Human Landing System that will put the first woman and next man on the Moon. We are seeking project engineers, systems engineers, test engineers, electrical/mechanical engineers, stress/structural engineers and analysts to join a diverse team in support of the development of a Human Lander System that will take us back to the surface of the Moon by 2024.

The Senior Structural Engineer/Analyst will support the Dynetics Space Division with development a human lander system and support equipment, primarily responsible for the integrated analysis of complex systems and structural hardware. The position requires use of analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools to produce models, and perform calculations and analysis. This includes detailed stress analyses utilizing standard industry software programs, as well as analyses via hand calculations. Candidate will work in a team environment to support conceptual design through product implementation, and should be able to lead an analysis team throughout the development lifecycle.IND1
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university
Candidate must have at least (10) ten years of direct experience performing structural analysis.
Candidate must have experience as a Lead Analyst and/or Design Lead on a project or projects requiring significant structural analysis.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the use of Femap, NASTRAN, Abaqus and/or ANSYS software.
Candidate must be able to write technical reports and to present results to a multi-disciplined team.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preference shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
