Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Junior Systems Administrator to join a diverse, highly-skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems. The successful candidate will perform systems administration and management duties with all components of classified information systems on physical and virtual platforms to support contract computing needs. These systems may contain Microsoft Windows or Linux components such as data processing clusters, network storage devices, authentication servers, and workstations. This position requires attention to detail, critical thinking, solid organizational skills, and great customer service skills. The position also requires strong written and oral communication skills.
Candidate will be expected to document existing processes and procedures, to make suggestions about and assisting in improving our current operations. The candidate will need to research new technologies, identify best practices, and present how to implement new technologies into the environment with a focus on secure and compliant implementation. The candidate will assist Information System Security personnel with documentation required for RMF compliance, and will remediate system vulnerabilities identified from automated scanners by using Microsoft Group Policy and patch deployment techniques to maintain a compliant security posture.
The candidate should be capable and prepared to provide Tier I/II/III support to include hardware and software configuration deployment. The candidate must be able to adapt to and respond quickly to challenging environment. The candidate should be prepared to assist customers to meet their goals while working within various US Government policy frameworks.IND2
An active secret clearance is required in order to be considered for this position.
This position requires the candidate be compliant with DOD 8570 baseline certification requirements for IAT II with a current Security + CE or equivalent. An acceptable computing environment certification will be obtained within 6 months of hire. (Windows, Linux, VMWare, Server+, and Storage computing environment certifications are a few acceptable examples.)
A minimum of two to five years professional IT experience with administration of desktop and servers is required. The candidate is expected to have the following:
· Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, and Active directory.
· Experience with installing, configuring and managing a VMWare ESXi 6.5 or higher virtual environment.
· Demonstrated knowledge of current backup hardware and software mechanisms for disaster recovery and continuity of operations.
· Demonstrated knowledge of data redundancy architectures and virtualization.
· Experience with SCC scanner and DISA STIGs.
Candidate must be willing and able to work in a closed environment with restricted access to mobile devices.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Knowledge of PowerShell and batch scripting is a plus. Familiarity with Linux or other open-source operating systems and certifications is favorable. Familiarity with ACAS and HBSS would be beneficial.
U.S. Citizenship and a current Final Secret Clearance is required with the ability to meet applicable program security eligibility requirements for the position. Must be able to maintain a Final Secret Clearance along with meeting and maintaining program security eligibility.
