Dynetics is seeking a talented FPGA/Digital Engineer to join a diverse team creating unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
Dynetics' Dayton Office has an immediate need for an FPGA/Digital Engineer. Candidates should be familiar with FPGA firmware design concepts and best practices, and efficient use of on-chip resources. The position requires a working knowledge of FPGA toolchains such as those available from Xilinx and Altera, along with comfortable use of HDL languages such as VHDL or Vivado.
Experience working with RF systems, high-speed serial interfaces, and/or embedded processing architectures is desired, along with an understanding of digital signal processing concepts, radar theory, and/or electronic warfare.
Candidates will use good people skills and strong technical interests/capabilities to work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists solving challenging technical questions about highly complex RF systems.
The majority of the work involves supporting the Scientific and Technical Intelligence community (NASIC, MSIC, NGIC, ONI) and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Sensors Directorate. This challenging position will allow for the opportunity to contribute immediately to important, meaningful work while working directly with a diverse team of experienced engineers.
-Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited institution in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering/Science, or a closely related field, with 2 yrs of experience or MS degree is required. At least 5-10 years of experience in FPGA firmware development is desired.
-Candidate must possess a clear understanding of FPGA design workflows, toolchains, and HDL languages.
-Must be a resident of the Dayton, OH area or be willing to relocate to the Dayton, OH area.
-Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is a plus, as is experience with RF systems, high-speed ADC/DAC interfaces, embedded processing architectures, embedded software development, signal processing, radar theory, electronic warfare, and Matlab/Simulink.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.
