Position Description

Dynetics is seeking a talented, established Senior Structural Analyst to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The Senior Structural Analyst will support the Dynetics Space Division with development of aerospace flight hardware and support equipment. The candidate's primarily responsibility includes structural analysis of hardware, assemblies and complex systems. The position requires proficiency in the application of analytical methods, finite element models and simulations to produce models and perform analyses for a variety of aerospace related products. This includes performing hand calculations as well as detailed stress analyses utilizing standard industry software programs. The analyst will support a team within product design cycles from concept development through product implementation, and should be able to lead an analysis team throughout the development lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.

Candidate must have at least ten (10) years of direct experience performing structural analysis.

Candidate must have experience as a Lead Analyst on a project or projects requiring significant structural analysis.

Candidate must have experience and demonstrated application in the use of Femap, NASTRAN, Abaqus and/or ANSYS software.

Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

 

Other Qualifications

Preference will be shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.

Preferred candidates will also meet some of the following:

  • Have experience supporting NASA or other aerospace projects.
  • Have performed analysis on both metallic and composite materials.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform as an individual contributor, and lead a technical team, within a short time period.

Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Candidate must possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
