Position Description

Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, Inc. Strategic Programs Product Line is seeking a qualified Program Manager for its Hypersonic Vehicles and High Energy Laser lines of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Dynetics is seeking a full time Program Manager with a focus on managing Dynetics activities in support of Dynetics Technical Solutions (DTS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynetics, managed Strategic Programs. The candidate will be responsible for all Dynetics support to DTS including planning and coordinating with DTS managers to define support, generating Inter-organization Work Authorizations (IWAs), monitoring progress, delivering products, determining business projections and reporting to Dynetics and DTS executives.


Duties and Responsibilities include:

Program Planning and Execution

Earned Value Management (EVM)

Working with enterprise business organizations including, but not limited to, Contracts, Division staff, Project Controls, Accounting, Human Resources, Facilities, Security, Manufacturing, Quality, and Safety.

Developing and exercising tools, such as dashboards for monitoring program.

Developing and presenting program status to executives.

Using DELTEK accounting systems.

Supporting business development opportunities as needed.


Basic Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or science is required. Candidate should have at least 5+ years of relevant experience.

Candidate must have directly applicable experience.

  1. Must have MS Office (especially EXCEL) and MS Project experience
  2. Should have experience of implementing schedules on multiple Earned Value Management (EVM) programs.
  3. Must have Program Management experience including PMI standards.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work across multiple corporate organizations.
  5. Must have ability to present program status and plans to corporate executives.
  6. Knowledge of defense research, development and acquisition programs.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a technical background supporting the department of defense with the addition of Project/Program Management Professional certifications.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to maintain a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
